2. Open an account
As a central fabricator, we are able to directly bill your facility. Establish an account by filling out a credit application. Once we’ve received and verified your information, we’ll send you a packet of useful materials about our products, including our price list and suggested L-codes for insurance billing. 3. Assess your Patient and Plan a Bracing Solution
Planning and selecting an appropriate DAFO brace for your patient is critical to a positive outcome. To help we’ve created The DAFO Guide to Brace Selection, grouping patients into seven different categories to ease brace selection.

Measure – Fast Fit
Casting is not required for Fast Fit products. Instead, our casting footplates may be used for sizing Fast Fit products. Our printable sizing jig may also be used to determine the proper size.

Cast – Custom DAFOs
For custom DAFOs, creating a cast that accurately captures the shape and volume of your patient’s foot in its corrected alignment is the single most important step in the DAFO process. Watch our casting video for casting instructions and techniques.

4. Order
Each DAFO brace style and Fast Fit device has a unique order form that clearly depicts the brace and shows appropriate options. Be sure to fill out your order form accurately and thoroughly. Our Optimization Index can help you customize each brace to patient’s needs.
Digital Scans
In lieu of shipping a cast to us, practitioners can now scan and upload digital files to www.cascadescans.com, eliminating the inbound shipping time and cost. Learn more about sending digital scans.

5. Ship

Fast Fit
Your order form may be emailed to customerservice@dafo.com or faxed to: ____. The average turn-around-time (from when we receive your Fast Fit order to when it is shipped) is 24 hours.

Custom DAFOs
Your cast and order form are shipped together directly to Cascade Dafo to begin the production process. Most custom DAFOs are in and out of our lab in under four business days. The shipping method – how the casts arrive to us and how we ship them out to you – affects when you receive the brace. All completed braces are shipped via UPS 2-day service unless otherwise specified.

6. Fit and Wear
Our goal is have each DAFO fit your patient right out of the box. Some minor adjustments may be necessary to assure long term comfort. For more information about fitting and adjustments. For tools and tips for patients and families, including information regarding habituation and care.
